Mail art.  I really should be preparing this paper instead of just painting willy-nilly.  Alas.

I’ve hit one of those dreaded art-slumps.  So, I painted an insulator I’ve got lying around.  Biffed some of the ellipses, but I had fun doing it.  (Also, I’m not prepping my paper like I should be, hence the blurry bits and spots without paper texture.)

In case you forgot I make sloppy sketches, here are three of them.  Aimless doodlings mixed with a tiny bit of project planning.

Another letter sketch.

My poor pen-pals.  They get strange images and boring letters, andit takes forever for me to send them these things.

I’m calling it done after an ink wash.  It’s a bit redundant, posting this image again, but I called it a work in progress earlier and felt it would only be polite to show the finished product.  Unless you hate it.  In which case I guess that makes me both presumptuous and rude.
No Face’s innards weren’t planned, and I think it shows—not to mention it detracts from the scene.  Still, I learned something with those lines.

Another letter thing.  I have fun with these, even though I feel like I’m not really tapping into the full potential of watercolor.  Maybe that’s because I’m not Winslow Homer.  Alas.  Practice, practice, practice…

Found out about Ghibli Jam 2014 a little late, and I’m definitely not making the deadline, so here’s the WIP.  Alas.  Spirited Away was my introduction to Miyazaki’s films, and I love the Chihiro/Monster No Face sequence.

More bumbling about with photoshop.  Apologies if the colors are ridiculous.  My laptop deserves a good share of the blame, but I was too lazy to check this on other, more reliable screens.

Super late with these pieces—gifts for my sister and brother-in-law.  I’ve various excuses, some appropriate, others poor.

Tinkering about with the computer.  Supposed to be a quick deal, but working in front of a screen somehow kills my sense of time.  I had fun, anyway.
